Books in the Reading Room
The Clay County Archives maintains an Archives Reading Room with several hundred books and binders related to the history of Clay County. They are available for reading at the Archives at no charge. The collection is wide and includes biographies, diaries, histories of war, church histories, family histories, African-American history, and copies of rare materials from other archives and libraries.
We also have an extensive bibliography of books related to Florida history, especially during colonial times. The Archives also offers a few books for sale at the Archives Reading Room or by mail. The proceeds are used entirely to support curation activities and Archives outreach programs.
