Paranormal Investigation in the Old Jail

Investigated by C.A.P.E. Paranormal Investigations, the old Clay County Jail has proven itself to be a hotbed of paranormal activity. Built in 1894 the old jail was in service till 1972. Five documented executions by hanging occurred on the front steps. Electronic voice phenomena (EVP), video apparitions & photographs of unexplained anomalies have all been recorded. You are welcome to walk through the jail or organize a tour for your group. | Read more |

All newspapers have been cataloged and are available for reading

Over the years, many issues of various county newspapers have found their way to the Archives, including copies of our first newspaper, The Spring, our present newspaper, Clay Today, and various Middleburg and Keystone Heights broadsheets and tabloids that have come and gone throughout the years.
